Liver metabolome of severely obese patients.

ABSTRACT: In the ABOS cohort, non-targeted global metabolomic analysis was performed on plasma samples by Metabolon, Inc. (Durham, NC), using two independent platforms: ultrahigh performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) optimized for basic species or acidic species, and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS).
