ABSTRACT: This dataset is obtained from J774 macrophages exposed for 24 hours to iron oxide pigments, then left to recover for 5 days to unravel delayed/sustained effects. It encompasses data on pigment internalization and dissolution, as well as functional data on mitochondria, lysosomes, oxidative stress and inflammation
