Effects of pentoxifylline in patients with chronic Chagas cardiomyopathy: a randomized, double-blind, controlled pilot trial.

ABSTRACT: This dataset originates from a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial evaluating the effects of pentoxifylline on inflammatory, functional, and perfusion parameters in patients with chronic Chagas cardiomyopathy. It includes anonymized clinical, laboratory, echocardiographic, myocardial perfusion scintigraphy, and quality-of-life data collected at baseline and after 6 months of treatment.
