The association of preoperative psychological assessments with long-term sleeve gastrectomy surgery outcomes data

ABSTRACT: This retrospective study analyzed 120 patients from a bariatric surgery registry who underwent laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy between 2008 and 2022, comparing outcomes between those who received pre-operative psychological evaluations (n=61) and those who did not (n=59). The primary variable assessed was average percent weight loss, with no statistically significant difference observed between groups.
