De novo genome assemblies for the Drosophila melanogaster cell line Schneider 2 (S2R+) and the inbred fly strain A4

ABSTRACT: De novo genome assemblies were generated for the Drosophila melanogaster cell line Schneider 2 (S2R+) and the inbred Drosophila melanogaster strain A4, see "asm_methods.pdf" for details. Assemblies were generated using either long-read, linked-read, or standard short-read sequencing. Links to the raw data used as input in these assemblies are provided below. Pre-processing, assembly, and polishing methods are described in the file "asm_methods.pdf".
