The detection of the messenger ribonucleic acid for the -lactalbumin of guinea-pig milk.

ABSTRACT: RNA was extracted from the polyribosomes isolated from the mammary glands of a lactating guinea pig and injected into Xenopus oocytes. On incubation the oocytes effected the biosynthesis of alpha-lactalbumin.
