Project description:In the title compound, C(17)H(18)ClN(3)O(3), the dihedral angle between the planes of the two benzene rings is 1.03 (7)°. The overall conformation of the mol-ecule is influenced, in part, by electron delocalization and by an intra-molecular bifurcated O-H⋯(O,N) hydrogen bonds. The O atoms of the nitro group, one of which serves as an H bond acceptor, are disordered over two sets of sites with refined occupancies of 0.56 (3) and 0.44 (3).

Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(28)H(32)N(2), the benzimidazole ring system is almost planar [maximum deviation = 0.0221 (15) Å] and forms dihedral angles of 85.86 (4) and 32.09 (6)° with the benzene rings. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into chains running parallel to the a axis by inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The methyl groups of a tert-butyl group are rotationally disordered over two positions with refined site-occupancy factors of 0.636 (4) and 0.364 (4).

Project description:The crystal structures and Hirshfeld surface analyses of four similar azo compounds are reported. (E)-1-[1-(4-tert-Butyl-phen-yl)-2,2-di-chloro-ethen-yl]-2-phenyl-diazene, C18H18Cl2N2, (I), and (E)-1-[1-(4-tert-butyl-phen-yl)-2,2-di-chloro-ethen-yl]-2-(4-methyl-phen-yl)diazene, C19H20Cl2N2, (II), crystallize in the monoclinic space group C2/c with Z = 8, and (E)-1-[1-(4-tert-butyl-phen-yl)-2,2-di-chloro-ethen-yl]-2-(4-meth-oxy-phen-yl)diazene, C19H20Cl2N2O, (III), in the monoclinic space group P21/c with Z = 4. (E)-1-[1-(4-tert-Butyl-phen-yl)-2,2-di-chloro-ethen-yl]-2-(3-methyl-phen-yl)diazene, C19H20Cl2N2, (IV), crystallizes in the triclinic space group P with Z = 4 and comprises two mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. Project description:In the title pyrazole derivative, C(25)H(26)ClFN(4)O(3), both benzene rings are twisted out of the plane through the pyrazole ring, with dihedral angles of 67.62 (10) and 27.63 (10)° for the fluoro- and chloro-substituted rings, respectively. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 64.54 (9)°. The piperazine ring (with a chair conformation) is linked to the pyrazole ring via a carbonyl spacer and is orientated to lie to one side of the pyrazole plane. In addition to an intra-molecular C-H⋯N contact, there are inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions, which generate a supra-molecular chain with an undulating topology along the c axis that is sustained by alternating centrosymmetric ten-membered {⋯HCNCO}(2) and {⋯HC3O}(2) synthons.

Several intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions are observed in the mol-ecular structure.

In the crystal structure, intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions in tandem with the tert-butyl groups render the packing of adjacent mol-ecules in the [001] direction nearly perpendicular [the angle between adjacent thio-phene rings is 74.83 (7)°]. An inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond gives rise to a chain extending along [001]. The crystal studied was found to be a racemic twin.

An intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-action may help to establish the conformation.
