Toward a rational design of combination therapy in cancer.


ABSTRACT: By merging computational systems modeling and experimental approaches, we have uncovered treatments reprogramming pro-angiogenic monocytes present in breast tumor into immunologically potent cells capable of mediating an anti-tumor immune response. The unraveled pathways and ligands which underlie monocyte pro-angiogenic activity have a strong predictive value for breast cancer patient relapse - free survival.
