Moxifloxacin: Acute Effects on Cardiovascular Functions Following Oral Administration in the Conscious Telemetered Beagle Dog

ABSTRACT: n=4 chronically-instrumented conscious male Beagle dogs, dosed with Moxifloxacin at 10, 30, 90 mg/kg, p.o., successively (wash-out 48h). No PK phase. Parameters: haemodynamic parameters (SAP, DAP, MAP, pulse blood pressure, HR) and ECG intervals (RR, PR, QRS, QT, QTcB, QTcF intervals), body temperature. Parameters will be recorded before administration then at 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 hours after dosing, and at any peak effect. A baseline value (Pre-dose) will be defined as the average of measurements obtained at approximately at -45,-30, -15 minutes before each dosing.

ORGANISM(S): Beagle dogs
