Project description:We performed two different pools for the 10 AAA patients (n=5 AAA patients in pool A and n=5 AAA patients in pool B) and two different pools for the 10 healthy subjects (n=5 controls in pool C and n=5 controls in pool D). Project description:We constructed cDNA library from 0-10 day post anthesis cotton fibers when fiber cells begin to initiate and elongate throughout this peroid. We randomly sequenced over 95,000 ESTs from this library, and with request of upland cotton ESTs from other laboratories, we acquired a gene pool of more than 30,000 UniESTs. The cotton UniESTs were then PCR-amplified and printed onto microarray. This array is comprised of about 29,000 high-quality cotton cDNAs (each sequence length>400bp, average length > 600bp) and external controls. Project description:We have performed comparative transcriptome profile from lymphoblastoid cell lines from four Williams-Beuren syndrome patients and two patients with partial deletions of the region. The goal was to find deregulated genes specifically in WBS versus atypical deletions, and to determine the biological pathways affected in WBS patients. 6 samples were hybridized twice each: once labeled with Cy5 and once labeled with Cy3 (dye-swap). Each sample was hybridized against a pool of five controls of the same gender.
