Paclitaxel and Bortezomib in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Unresectable Malignant Solid Tumors
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Bortezomib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving paclitaxel together with bortezomib may kill more tumor cells.
PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of paclitaxel and bortezomib in treating patients with metastatic or unresectable malignant solid tumors.
