Comprehensive Therapy to Relieving the Risk of Recurrence and Metastasis for Colorectal Cancer

ABSTRACT: Comprehensive therapy of traditional Chinese medicine (CTTCM) could relieve risk of recurrence and metastasis for stage II & III colorectal cancer, the investigators take this clinical trial with retrospective-prospective cohort study based on previous studies by international multi-center way. If the study shows a positive result, a pragmatic randomized controlled study with prospective, multi-centre and large-sample design will be given continuously. The aim is to establish recommended programs suggested by CTTCM strategies under conventional Western medicine therapy (CWMT) for stage II & III colorectal cancer.

Global gene expression analysis of amniotic fluid cell-free RNA from recipient twins with twin-twin transfusion syndrome [Set 2]

Project description:To understand the biological pathways involved in twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) by performing global gene expression analysis of amniotic fluid (AF) cell-free RNA Analysis of paired data from TTTS cases and controls revealed differential expression of 801 genes, which were significantly enriched for neurological disease and cardiovascular system pathways. We also identified cardiovascular genes and pathways associated with the presence of critically abnormal Doppler measurements in Stage III TTTS recipients. Prospective whole transcriptome microarray study analyzing cell-free RNA in AF from TTTS recipient twins and singleton controls. Significantly differentially-regulated genes in TTTS cases (N= 8) vs. matched controls (N = 8) were identified and pathways analyses performed. Significant gene expression differences between Stage II TTTS recipients (N = 5) and Stage III TTTS recipients with abnormal Doppler measurements (N = 5) were also analysed.

Multi-omic analysis reveals molecular subtypes with distinct immunological phenotypes in SLE [RNA-Seq]

Project description:Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a heterogeneous autoimmune disease characterized by variability in clinical manifestations and underlying molecular mechanisms. To investigate this heterogeneity, we performed integrative multi-omic profiling—including epigenomic (EM-seq), transcriptomic (RNA-seq), and proteomic (Olink) analyses—on whole blood samples from over 700 SLE patients enrolled in two Phase III clinical trials. Using this approach, we identified three stable molecular endotypes of SLE, providing a framework for understanding disease subtypes and informing precision medicine strategies.
