Enlargement of the distance between tumor and adjacent normal tissue/organs (Organs at risk=OAR) by interventional insertion of balloon catheters RAD317
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Interventions: Group 1: The aim of radiation therapy is to treat the tumor effectively, while at the same time optimally protecting the surrounding healthy organs (OAR). A retrospective dosimetric data analysis of realized brachytherapies will show whether the use of a balloon catheter during Irradiation can lead to a reduced dosage exposition regarding OAR.
Primary outcome(s): Determination of the dosimetric effect of distancing subcapsular liver tumors from adjacent normal tissue/organs (organs at risk = OAR) by inserting interventional balloon catheters.
