A study on the surgical site infection according to the type of bowel cleansing used in patients before colorectal cancer surgery

ABSTRACT: Interventions: Drug : After the written consent to participate in the study on the day before surgery, we randomly divided into two groups using computer. In control group, take Picosolution 170mL and 500mL of water at 3 pm on the day before surgery. After 3 hours, tace Picosolution 170mL and 500mL of water. In study group, take Clicool powder and 1L of water at 3 pm on the day before surgery. After 2 hours, take Clicool powder and 1 L of water. Then drink 1L of water for 1 hour. Both groups will complete a simple survey at 10 pm. Primary outcome(s): Surgical site infection Primary Purpose : Treatment, Intervention Model : Parallel, Blinding/Masking : Open, Allocation : RCT

Metformin reduces air pollution-induced thrombosis

Project description:As our results suggested that metformin acts to limit mitochondrial ROS and calcium-mediated activation of IL-6, we reasoned it would likely affect other processes in alveolar macrophages triggered by exposure to particulate matter (PM). Therefore, we treated mice with metformin in the drinking water for 24 hours before we instilled PM intratracheally. We then flow-sorted alveolar macrophages from whole lung homogenates 24 hours later for transcriptomic analysis (RNA-Seq).

Project description:Interventions: 1) The method of intestinal tract cleansing; 2 days before the test, take 2 aperient tablets. The day before, take 190 ml of intestinal cleansing agent. The day of testing, take 1L of intestinal cleansing agent and 500 ml of water before swallowing the capsule. And also, on the day, until the release of the capsule is confirmed or until 15:30, every hour or every hour and half, intestinal tract cleansing drugs are orally administered or intravenous injections of intestinal peristalsis promotion drugs are carried out. 2) The method of intestinal tract cleansing; 2 days before the test, take 2 aperient tablets. The day before, take 1510 ml of intestinal cleansing agent. mRNA Expression Data from Murine Hearts of Shiftwork MI, Normal MI and Sham Wildtype Mice at 24-hours Post-MI

Project description:Male C57Bl/6 mice were randomized to undergo 5 days of i) a shiftwork protocol (10-hour light: 10-hour dark cycle) before myocardial infarction (MI) surgery, ii) a normal 12-hour light: 12-hour dark environment before MI surgery, iii) a normal 12-hour light: 12-hour dark environment and used as sham controls, or iv) a shiftwork protocol (10-hour light: 10-hour dark cycle) and used as sham controls. MI surgery was performed on the 5th day, after which all mice were returned to a normal 12-hour light: 12-hour dark cycle. Hearts were collected 24-hours post-MI at ZT06. The microarray approach allows the investigation of transcriptome-wide gene expression changes in hearts from mice on a shiftwork cycle or on a regular light:dark cycle before MI.
