Project description:Genome wide DNA methylation profiling of normal kidney (n=36), nephrogenic rest (n=22) and Wilms tumour (n=37) was performed using the Illumina 450k array. Two papers were composed after analysis of this data (1) describes comparative analysis of 22 matched normal kidney-Wilms tumour pairs which identified biomarker differentially methylated regions (DMRs) that could be detected in patient blood; (2) describes comparative analysis of 20 matched trios which identified changes in methylation associated with progression from the precursor lesion towards tumourigenesis.

Bisulfte converted DNA from 95 samples of normal kidney, nephrogenic rest and Wilms tumour was hybridised to Illumina HumanMethylation450 bead chips.
Project description:Expression analysis of 36 pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tumors and matching normal pancreatic tissue samples from pancreatic cancer patients of the Clinical Institute Fundeni (ICF) using Affymetrix U133 Plus 2.0 whole-genome chips. Pairs of normal and tumor tissue samples were obtained at the time of surgery from resected pancreas of 36 pancreatic cancer patients. Gene expression was analyzed on Affymetrix U133 plus 2.0 whole genome microarrays. For three of the 36 normal-tumor sample pairs we carried out replicate microarray hybridizations in order to gauge the technical measurement errors. We thus performed 78 genechip hybridizations in total. A patient sample pair was excluded from further analysis since one of the samples did not meet the quality controls. The microarray data was subsequently normalized using the RMA algorithm.
Project description:Formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) primary-recurrent Glioblastoma (pGBM-rGBM) matched patient samples and normal tissue adjacent to tumor (NAT) were analyzed by shotgun DDA proteomics. The proteomic profiles of pGBM-rGBM pairs revealed differentially expressed proteins in rGBM samples, which in future could be used for potential therapeutic interventions.
