Project description:DNA hypomethylation could lead to activation of alternate promoters in GBM. We profiled DNA methylation and H3K4me3 genome-wide, and also performed expression and copy number analysis on the same samples In this dataset, we include all array CGH copy number data obtained for five GBMs. We used estimated copy number to normalize sequencing-based methylation data.
Project description:To measure methylation, we employed Methyl-CpG-immunoprecipitation (MCIP) a technique which relies on a fusion protein consisting of the methyl-binding domain (MBD) of MBD2 and the Fc portion of IgG1 to detect methylated regions, exploiting the natural preference of MBD for 5-methylcytosine (5-mC). MCIP-seq was performed using the EpiMark® Methylated DNA Enrichment Kit. MCIP-seq of 77 primary samples obtained from human acute leukemias, namely AML, T-ALL and mixed myeloid/lymphoid leukemias with CpG Island Methylator Phenotype (CIMP). Project description:This DNA methylation dataset describes epigenomic changes in in vitro serially passaged primary and immortalized astrocytes, in the context of studies examining cellular aging patterns that are conserved in vivo and in vitro. Primary and fetal hTERT-immortalized astrocytes were grown under normoxic conditions and serially passaged. Longitudinal DNA samples were collected throughout passaging and DNA methylation was measured using the Infinium HumanMethylation850 BeadChip.
