Profiling DNA copy number alterations of liver metastases from colorectal cancer (CRCLM)
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The formation of metastasis is a complex process and the molecular events leading to metastasis are still unclear. While several studies have focused on the clonal origin and genetic heterogeneity of CRCs, there is still no clear consensus about the origin of cancer and the genetic heterogeneity between a primary cancer and its distant metastasis. Furthermore, very few validated prognostic gene signatures have been developed to assess outcomes after hepatectomy for colorectal cancer with liver metastasis (CRCLM).
