Transcriptomes of Hemin exposed trained monocytes

ABSTRACT: Innate immune memory is the phenomenon whereby innate immune cells such as monocytes or macrophages undergo functional reprogramming after exposure to microbial components. In this study we apply RNA-seq analysis to healthy human monocytes exposed to Hemin, a danger-associated signal, and B-glucan, a yeast sugar, in vitro. Overall design: Monocytes from healthy donors were cultured in vitro for 24 hours with media, Hemin or B-glucan.
