ABSTRACT: This study evaluates the ability of MpChi, an effector protein from the fungus Moniliophthora perniciosa, in suppressing the transcriptional reprogramming associated with MTI (MAMP-triggered immunity) in Nicotiana tabacum cells exposed to the chitin oligomer NAG6.
