MRNA expression analysis of irradiated skin tissues of mice

ABSTRACT: Radioactive materials have been widely used in industry, medicine, science, the military and nuclear facilities, which has significantly increased the potential of large-scale, uncontrolled exposure to radiation. The skin is one of the radiosensitive organ systems and radiation-induced skin injury remains a serious concern after ionizing radiation exposure. This study aims to illustrate the early response (mRNA profiles) of skin tissues following radiation and find targets against radiation-induced skin injury.
