Expression profile of circular RNAs in oral lichen planus: a promising study of circRNA to explore the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus

ABSTRACT: Six oral mucous biopsies from untreated patients with oral lichen planus (OLP) and six normal oral mucous tissues from healthy patients were used for circRNA sequencing. 135 circRNAs with 2-fold differential expression were identified in OLP compared with normal control, including 83 upregulated circRNAs and 52 downregulated circRNAs.
