Downstream genes and pathways of PPT1 in hepatocellular carcinoma


ABSTRACT: To explore the mechanism and downstream pathways of PPT1 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We performed microarray assay to identify the downstream genes of PPT1. As a result, we obtained 476 (291 upregulation and 185 downregulation) differentially expressed genes significantly affected by PPT1 knockdown. Function enrichment analysis showed that these genes were enriched in “cell metabolism” and “signal transduction” pathways which are possibly related with lysosomal function. Real-time quantitative RT-PCR was performed to verify the microarray results. In conclusion, the expression profile of many genes were significantly affected by PPT1 knockdown, which helps to further explore the mechanism of the effects of PPT1 in HCC.
