A transcriptomic analysis of serial-cultured, tonsil-derived mesenchymal stem cells reveals decreased integrin α3 protein as a potential biomarker of senescent cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In this study, we investigated differential genetic expression patterns among TMSCs with different cultivation times and passage numbers. Transcriptomic approaches were used to further identify novel candidate biomarkers of culture-aged, senescent TMSCs. These analyses have led us to propose that genes associated with ECM are differentially altered with aging of TMSCs, and some of these molecules could be used as potential indicators for identifying stem cells with senescence.
