High dose IFN- activates GAF to enhance expression of ISGF3 target genes in epithelial cells


ABSTRACT: GAF is transcriptionally inactive in epithelial cells but enhances expression of ISGF3 target genes, thus functioning as a dose-sensitive amplifier of the IFN- response.
