Non-redundancy of IL-1α and IL-1β in infection is defined by distinct functions and spatially restricted expression

ABSTRACT: Analysis of the spleen and liver transcriptom of Il1a-/-, Il1b-/- and WT mice 24 h after infection with Streptococcus pyogenes or from untreated animals. The experiment revealed a spatial restriction and non-redundant functions of Il1a and Il1b.
