Cage-rearing-induced duck transcriptome regulation study by RNA-seq and differential expression analysis
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In order to investigate the effect of cage-rearing on waterfowl, we collected the hypothalamus and pituitary tissues of 113-days-old ducks after caged for 3 days, and same tissues of ducks in same batch raised in water-floor system. The transcriptomes were sequenced and the expression level of genes were compared. Sequencing analysis showed that a total 506 and 342 genes were differentially expressed in the hypothalamus comparison and pituitary comparison, respectively.
