MNN45 is involved in Zcf31-mediated cell surface integrity and chitosan susceptibility in Candida albicans
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To explore why zcf31Δ cells exhibited thicker cell wall, RNA sequencing was performed. By pairwise analysis, a total of 123 genes were differentially expressed between the wild-type (WT) and zcf31Δ strains based on the selection criteria of two-fold change in expression (Log2 fold change > 1 or < -1, P < 0.05). Among these, 55 and 68 genes were significantly upregulated and downregulated, respectively. GO Enrichment analysis showed these transcripts were mainly involved cell wall, cell membrane, cell adhesion and glycosyl transferase activity.
