Cadmium-mediated Pancreatic Islet Transcriptome Changes in Mice and Cultured Mouse Islets.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of the study are 1) to describe the islet transcriptome profile of cadmium-exposed mice to determine changes in systemic regulatory networks and 2) to describe the transcriptome profile of mouse islets exposed to cadmium in culture/ex vivo to determine gene changes as a direct consequence of cadmium exposure.
