Transcriptome dataset of two different adipose tissues in gestational diabetes patients.

ABSTRACT: Using next generation RNA sequencing (RNA-seq), this study evaluated the whole transcriptome of subcutaneous (SC) and omental (OM) adipose tissues from patients with gestational diabetes (GD) and healthy matching controls that were collected during cesarean delivery (C-section). Results show a strong separation of the transcriptomic profiles based on anatomical location and reveal specific RNA expression patterns unique to GD patients
