ABSTRACT: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a progressive pulmonary vascular disease that culminates in right heart failure. Vascular pathology in PH is characterized by pulmonary vasoconstriction and progressive vascular remodeling processes that affects all layers of the vascular wall (intima, media and adventitia).
