Hippocampal RNA-seq in mice selectively bred for high and low open-field activity (OFA)
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Purpose: To investigate the effect that selective breeding for high and low OFA has on gene expression Methods: Male and female High and Low Activity mice (n=4 per strain/sex) were euthanized at postnatal day 70 and hippocampi were immediately collected. Paired-end RNA-seq methods were employed to assess hippocampal mRNA expression. Results: The expression of thousands of transcripts were altered by selective breeding for high and low OFA.
