Small RNA sequencing of extracellular vesicles extracted from adipose tissue of nondiabetic or diabetic human subjects
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We demonstrated that adipose tissue derived extracellular vesicles from diabetic subjects could induce cognitive impairment. miRNAs in adipose tissue-derived EVs could be transferred to the hippocampus, which promotes synaptic damage and cognitive impairment. To identify the specific subtypes of miRNAs that responsible for cognitive impairment, we examined the sRNA profiles of EVs extracted from adipose tissue of nondiabetic and diabetic subjects by RNA deep sequencing.
