Single cell transcriptomic profiling of caridac tissues from different degrees of septic shock mice

ABSTRACT: Sepsis is a fatal organ dysfunction caused by the imbalance of host response caused by infection. It has the characteristics of high incidence rate, high mortality and high treatment cost. Heart is one of the most vulnerable target organs in sepsis. Sepsis can lead to myocardial depression, which is mainly manifested in the impairment of systolic function, cardiac enlargement, decreased ejection fraction and so on. Sepsis induced myocardial dysfunction (SIMD) is an important cause of septic shock and death. Therefore, using single-cell RNA sequencing to clarify the mechanisms of SIMD is of great significance to effectively prevent sepsis shock from developing into multiple organ dysfunctions (MODS) or even death.
