Next generation sequencing for miRNA profile of blood sample of goiter rat model treated by quemeiteng granule
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: MicroRNAs play important roles in the regulatory processes of occurrence and progression of goiter. In the present study, whole transcriptome sequencing analysis was applied to investigate the expression profiles of miRNAs. After comparing blood samples of propylthiouracil (PTU)-induced goiter model blood samples and quemeiteng granule (QMTG) treated groups, 1 miRNA was found to be differentially expressed. Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analyses were performed to investigate the potential functions of the mRNAs. Our study proved QMTG relieves goiter by suppressing thyroid angiogenesis through miR-217-5p targeting of FGF2 regulating ERK pathway.
