Methionine biosynthesis enzyme MoMet2 is required for rice blast fungus pathogenicity by promoting virulence gene expression via reducing 5mC modification

ABSTRACT: To investigate the function of Momet2 in Magnaporthe oryzae, we generated Momet2 mutant. To understand the impact of MoMET2-depentent 5mC to gene expression at the transcriptional level, we performed comparative transcriptome analysis using the materials harvested from Guy11 and ΔMomet2 mycelium samples.
