RNA-sequencing data of mice fed either a control diet or inulin-enriched diet and infected with either Trichuris muris or Citrobacter rodentium

ABSTRACT: Mice were fed either a control purified diet, or the same diet with 10% inulin. Mice were then trickle infected with T. muris for 35 days, or given a single infection with C. rodentium for 8 days.

Moreover, it is a remarkably tractable model system for dissecting immune responses and host parasite relationships and is actively being investigated in a number of laboratories worldwide. Project description:Dietary fiber such as inulin have been reported to promote cardiovascular and metabolic health. However, the mechanisms involved are not well understood. We studied effects of inulin on lipid metabolism in Ldlr deficient atherosclerosis mouse model using lipidomics and transcriptomics. Plasma and tissues were collected at 10 days and/or 12 weeks after feeding an atherogenic diet supplemented with inulin or cellulose (control).
