Transcriptomic profile of embryoid bodies under hypoxia at single cell level
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Despite their limitations, embryoid bodies can mimic early embryonic development stages. Our previous results showed that hypoxia induces angiogenesis in this model, increasing the number of endothelial cells. This observation is concomitant with a reduction of the percentage of endothelial cells in S-phase. Our hypothesis is that the increase in the number of endothelial cells is due to a higher rate of differentiation of progenitor cells.
