Expression data from breast cancer cell line 4T1

ABSTRACT: MiR-9 plays an irreplaceable role in regulating the progression of breast cancer. In order to study the role of miR-9 in promoting MDSC recruitment in the tumor microenvironment, we need to explore the genetic process of miR-9 regulation. We used microarrays to detail the global program of miR-9 down-regulated gene expression and identified different categories of regulated genes in this process.

Levels of all MDSC, polymorphonuclear MDSC (PMNMDSC), monocytic MDSC (MMDSC), early-stage MDSC (EMDSC) and monocytic to polymorphonuclear MDSC ratio (M/PMN MDCS) were established and compared in patients with postoperative complications, severe postoperative complications (>= IIIA according to Clavien-Dindo) and severe septic complications.

Project description:It is believed that incessant ovulation will cause formation of ovarian cysts which later lead to ovarian cancer maglinancy. miR-200s is highly expressed in ovarian cancer tissue when compared to ovarian normal tissue. To study wether miR-200s have a pathologenic role in ovarian cyst formation, normal ovarian cells with overexpression of miR-200s and two cancer cell lines with knockdown of miR-200s were grown in a 3D culture system and allowed to form cyst. We used microarrays to detail the global programme of gene expression underlying ovarian cyst formation affected by expression of miR-200s and indentify distinct classes of up-regulated and down-regulated genes during this process.
