Cellular Origin and Molecular Mechanisms of Lung Metastases in Patients with Aggressive Hepatoblastoma
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Lung metastases are dangerous for patients with aggressive hepatoblastoma. Here we characterize a dramatic increase in cancer-associated fibroblasts and neuron-like cells that are released into the bloodstream and are found in lung metastases. Using RNAseq of fresh tumor samples taken from hepatoblastoma patients, and cells cultered from those tumors, we observe the rapid proliferation of metastasis-initiating pathways.
