HMGB1 regulates autophagy of placental trophoblast through MAPK/ERK signaling pathway
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of high mobility group protein B1 (HMGB1) in placental development and its correlation with the occurrence of pregnancy diseases. Methods: A placenta-specific HMGB1 knockout mouse model was established using the Cre–loxP recombination system to explore the molecular mechanism of HMGB1 on placental development, including placental weight, fetal weight, and bone development. Then lentiviral system interference and overexpression of HMGB1 in human trophoblast cells were used to further evaluate the function of HMGB1.
