Single-nucleus transcriptomic sequencing of aging hypothalamus treated with 17a-estradiol

ABSTRACT: To dissect the role of 17a-estradiol in lifespan extending and its potential side effects for long-term administration, the pooled hypothalami from aging male Norway brown rats treated with 17a-estradiol for 6 months (O.T), aged male control (O), and young male control (Y) were subjected to single-nucleus transcriptomic sequencing (snRNA-seq).
