Changes in gene Expression in different tissues before and after mouse embryonic diapause
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To elucidate the characteristics of mural TE and, polar TE, epiblast, and PrE during diapause, we performed laser microdissection followed by RNA-seq analysis. Gene ontology (GO) analysis revealed increased expression of p53- and apoptosis-related genes. p21 was upregulated in diapause embryos, while Txnip was specifically elevated in mural TE cells. Neither gene was expressed in pre-diapause embryos, but both were induced in a diapause-specific manner.
