Gene sequencing analysis of mouse airway smooth muscle cells in co-culture environment with mouse airway epithelial cells and mouse smooth muscle cells in non-co-culture environment
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Airway epithelial cells can promote the proliferation of airway smooth muscle cells in an undisturbed environment. We isolated airway epithelial cells and airway smooth muscle cells in mice and conducted co-culture experiments. The results showed that the proliferative phenotype of airway smooth muscle cells was significantly changed by co-culture of epithelial cells after five day. Therefore, we conducted gene sequencing for ASMC in the co-culture group and ASMC in the non-co-culture group after 5 days of culture. The results show that Wnt pathway related genes are activated in ASMC, and the activation of this pathway may be the main reason why AEC stimulates the proliferation of ASMC
