Combinatorial transcriptional regulation establishes subtype-appropriate synaptic properties in auditory neurons
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Primary auditory neurons, or spiral ganglion neurons (SGNs) contain diverse synaptic properties. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to analyze the contributions of two transcription factors, c-Maf and Mafb, to the development and diversification of these synapses.
