Single cell gene expression profile of corneal endothelial cells from 2-month-old and 11-month-old murine cornea
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Corneal endothelial cells are highly metabolically active and generally non-proliferative cells required for their corneal barrier and ionic pump. With age, corneal morphology and density changes; however, the transcriptional changes driving this is unknown. We used single cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) to assess the transcriptional changes in aging mouse corneal endothelial cells.
