Tumor exosomes aggravate mitochondrial damage in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Exosomes can fuse with the cytoplasm of target cells to perform regulatory functions. Small RNAs are major regulatory components of exosomes, we therefore analyzed small RNA contents in plasma exosomes derived from cancer versus non-cancer mice. Small RNA expression array data revealed that 20 pre-miRNAs and 38 miRNAs with fold change > 1.4 and p-value < 0.05 in the exosomes derived from cancer group compared with those in the non-cancer group.
