Understanding the biological processes of clear cell renal carcinoma carcinogenesis: an integrative multi-omics approach.

ABSTRACT: Multi-Omics analysis to gain novel insights into clear cell renal carcinoma aetiology and progression. The DNA methylation data of 121 clear clear renal carcinoma (ccRCC) were integrated with WGS and transcriptomic data using Multi-Omics Factor Analysis (MOFA) to detect the inter-patient variations related to aetiological and disease progression related factors.

Project description:Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) arises in the context of diverse aetiological backgrounds, yet the extent to which the tumour microenvironment is shaped by aetiology-associated versus aetiology-independent programmes remains incompletely understood. This dataset was generated to support interrogation of the cellular architecture of human HCC and the surrounding liver microenvironment at single-cell resolution. By profiling tumour and adjacent non-tumour liver tissues, the study provides a resource for examining malignant, immune, stromal, and hepatic parenchymal cell populations, and for investigating shared and aetiology-linked features of the HCC tumour microenvironment.

Project description:Intra-tumour heterogeneity (ITH) foster tumour adaptation and hamper the efficiency of personalised medicine approaches. We investigated the extent of ITH within individual clear cell renal cell carcinomas (ccRCC) by multi-region sampling and copy number analysis. We analyzed 63 tumour regions and 8 normal samples from eight clear cell renal cell carcinomas using Affymetrix SNP6 arrays.
