Effect of chronic social defeat stress (CSDS) on gene expression in wild-type mice and in Neurensin-2 knockout mice.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: CSDS is a robust model of depression with a detective behavioral effect. In prior studies, we established that the deletion of Neurensin-2, a vesicular protein, confers resilience in this model. The distinctive behavioral effect of CSDS stems from underlying molecular stress-induced changes, including changes in gene expression. To understand the mechanism in which deletion of Neurensin-2 confers resilience, we analysed the stress-induced changes in gene expression within each genotype.
