Curcumol Protects Against Myocardial Infarction by targeting STING to Suppress Type I Interferon Response in Macrophage
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Macrophages play a crucial role in the pathological process after myocardial infarction (MI). Curcumol (Cur), a natural compound extracted from the Curcumae Rhizoma (CR), has demonstrated both anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory activities. We had found that Cur had cardio-protective effect in MI and the effect was reduced thanks to macrophage depletion. To elucidate the mechanism of Cur on macrophage in MI, we performed RNA-seq on macrophages in MI heart treated with Cur or not.
