Effect of PDCD11 silencing on gene expression in MDA-MB-231 cells

ABSTRACT: We here reported that PDCD11 deletion results in G1/S arrest and inhibited proliferation and migration of MDA-MB-231 cells. To investigate how does PDCD11 regulate the malignant phenotype of cancer cells, we performed RNA-sea analysis and found that PDCD11 knockdown leads to reduced transcriptional levels of C-MYC target genes such as E2F1, MCM2, MCM4, MCM5, MCM6, MCM7, CCNE2, CCNA2, and SKP2. Taken together, our data indicate that PDCD11 facilitates G1/S transistion, proliferation, and migration of cancer cells by regulating C-MYC pathways.
